![]() Being on the radio is a privilege and it's my prayer that God uses me everyday to impact someone in a positive way. He's given me this platform and I don't plan on wasting it. ![]() So how do you sum up an entire year in one little blog? Impossible really. When I look back on 2009, I see it as a year of growth. I grew up in so many ways. I learned through hard times. I celebrated good times. I mourned the loss of close friends. I said goodbye to a few things I thought were important, but in the end didn't hold that much significance. I saw lives changed. I saw pain. I saw joy. I SAW THE BIRTH OF MY SECOND SON! I struggled in my relationship with God. I grew in my relationship with God. He became my strength, my substance and the reason why I exist more than ever before. 2009 was an amazing year but I believe in the depth of my soul that what's to come is going to have so much more. I've been trying to find a word to describe how I feel about 2010. One word that really portrays what's coming for me, my family and my job. The word that keeps coming back to me and the word I've chosen to describe 2010 is EXPLOSIVE. I believe that this new year is going to be one incredible explosion after another. I'm expecting my walk with God to explode to a new level. I'm expecting the love and dedication that I have for my family to explode into something even deeper. I'm really excited for The Morning Paper to explode into new territories. 2010 is going to be explosive! I just know it and no one can tell me different. Thanks for taking the time to read my little blog and I'm believing for you and me that 2010 will be our best year yet! Here's why their special to me. As crazy as this sounds, I experienced the presence of God for the first time at one of their concerts in the late 90's at Great America. They were singing a song about being a "Part-Time Christian" you know, clocking in every Sunday morning like a good church boy and then clocking out living like the devil the rest of the week. That was me. During that song, even though there were hundreds of people all around, I felt the presence of God come over me like I was the only one there. No one can take that experience away from me, it was as real as real gets and it was one of the moments in time that I'll never forget. Thank you Newsboys and thank you Jesus! My favorite voices of all time. From left to right: Sarah McLachlan, Kevin Max (formerly of DC Talk), Chester Bennington & Sebastian Bach.
